Flowers: Photographing & Pixelmator

An Ordinary Day in the Garden

Our mid-century home came with two huge Hydrangea bushes. Every year they provide me with so many flowers that I can have several vases filled in the house, plus give some to my neighbors.

The below photo was taken with a Canon Rebel. I removed all the green background, then replaced it with black, using Pixelmator. It really makes the colors pop! Now, I can frame it, use it for greeting cards, or whatever else I can dream up.
